Multitasking busy at work!!

Seems that life doesn't give us the easy route to things... just working on my project at the lab and just realised how many windows I opened on my DNAMAN program. It's a program that you use to compare DNA, protein and sequences...

Sums up my daily worklife really.. hehe!!

Can't wait to get our home! :)

We've got it!! (almost!)

After a week or so of waiting... our mortgage was approved and so now we have the house!! :D The official transfer date will be 1st of December 2010 but we've already got our plans into gear and written down a to-do list in the rating of importance and what we need to do first etc..

We've already bought our kitchen from Wooning! And the gorgeous furnace as you saw below in my previous post! :) Still loads to do! It's planned delivery date is February so that would be great if we got it in before the weekend we fly back to Malaysia!

Also, have decided a few more bits and pieces and it's all just falling into place! :) We're both very happy and very lucky people! :)

More updates with more things we decide to get for the house!

Stay tuned..

Dream almost a reality....

Gosh it's been a while since I last blogged! And looking at the date, I can safely say that since my last post, we have been successful in finding our home and we made an offer and we have accepted the counter offer. We signed the koopovereenkomst last Monday and now, we're waiting for everything to go through to say, YES the house is ours!

We've even started to look at paint colours and we've even ordered our kitchen tiles last weekend. Now it's the matter of having everything measured and fitted as we're intending to order a new kitchen and bathroom for the home and converting part of the attic space to fit in another shower and toilet! :) Here's a snapshot of the kitchen tiles... it's the floor tiles and it's the one on the left (darker shade) and we were thinking of the contrast of the right tiles as our living room tiles... We're talking tiles because we want to put underfloor heating! :)

Exciting business isn't it? :) I'm only gonna post the house pics after we've signed on the 1st of December when the house is ours! Yay! Oh and the couch we're thinking of going for is this Natuzzi baby! We're going to get it in leather but we're not sure which colour we'll get it in yet as we wanted light tiles and light wall colours.... But it's this style :)

The kitchen we have not yet decided on which companies but if you have some place that's good, please feel free to recommend it! But we're really in love with this fornuis! :)

It's by Falcon and it's just so so gorgeous! We saw it in one of the Grando Keukens showroom kitchens! :)

So many ideas and lovely lovely home we're going to make it... I can't wait until we are both in there! Fingers crossed it all goes through smoothly!

More updates to come... :) Oh by the way, I have a nail polish addiction as well now...

One step towards our dream...

It's been a while since I last updated. Mainly because it's been rather a busy month! The 2 students that were here for a 3 month internship left last Friday and I was sad to see them go as they were a lovely bunch of guys who really helped us out a lot in the lab.

Also, we celebrated our 6 month anniversary of getting together officially last Tuesday (the 14th of September) and though we received extremely shocking news on the day itself, it hasn't blown the wind out of us (a figure of expression). Instead, it made me realise that we still had our eyes closed in regards to our future and dreams. I'd been procrastinating about things, finally, when we seemed that we would lose our dream, we made the plan to carry out the first step.

I made calls to different mortgage lenders and then another to view 2 houses. Today we went to view them, and our whole perspective changed again, and on Friday is when we will have the mortgage appointment. I am really looking forward to realising our dreams and this is the one step we have taken to start our journey.

Hopefully if all goes well, we'll have our home procured in a few months' time! :)

Missing your loved one...

Ever since me and E got together, we have hardly spent much time apart. But tonight, he starts his deeltijd opleiding in Werktuigbouwkunde in the Rotterdam Hogeschool and it takes him away from 5.30pm to 10pm!

Tonight's his first night and I miss him already, oh how pathetic.. :( But it does show you how much you love and miss someone when all you can think about is him and how he's doing.

Love you, babe and I'm proud of you. <3

Great opening score! :)

My sweetest babe usually plans zaalvoetball (which is indoor football) every year and the season started this year last Saturday.

As usual, I normally go to watch his matches eventhough he says I don't need to, but I love to watch him play and support everything he does! :)

Last week was the first match, so naturally I went! They did very well and scored 11-0 against the opponent! They didn't have a chance! E scored twice and it was brilliant! Am proud of you, babe! :) Looking forward to the next match... here's the evidence of the score... He plays for the Lite Webdesign De Buurmannen!

Another beautiful weekend ^^

Another weekend has passed by again and whilst I sit here on the living room couch of my boyfriend's flat enjoying the beautiful sunset, peace and atmosphere of a quiet Sunday evening... I tend to reflect on life.

I had a pretty busy week with a few days with long, crushing experiments to do. But everytime the weekend comes around, I find total relaxation with E. He's my lifeline, my comfort zone, my reason to be happy and content. :)

I have to share a secret, we're going to buy a house together and I truly cannot wait! At the moment there are 3 contenders and one in particular is taking front lead. Because I don't want to jinx it, I am keeping schtum about it until we feel it's ready to release more details! ;)

I cannot wait to move in with E and start our life together :) And have more lovely weekends like these to look forward to!
